A Letter from the President of the German Golf Association

12 August 1991

Dear Dean,

I hope, you found correctly and fast - driving the German way - the route to the ferry to Sweden after the seminar in Dusseldorf-Hubbelrath.

After returning from my vacation trip, which I started past the seminar, I will say "Thank you very much" on behalf of all Mid-European attendees for your introducing in the theoretical and practical parts of the Course Rating System.

It was a fine job you have done and you were an excellent ambassador of the USGA. You and I had good talks about Golf and all the things around. It gave me a lot of good ideas.

I hope that our friendship will continue over the years.

Permit me to send you a souvenir from good old Europe. It is the coat of arms of the Golf Association of the federal state of Niedersachsen/Bremen.

I hope we will meet again soon.

Warmest regards,

Dieter Schimmelpfennig
President
Golf-Verband
